Leah’s path into voiceover wasn’t a straight line — and that’s part of what makes her performances distinct.

She grew up as the youngest of three sisters, always performing for her family, and trained for years in dance (tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop), gymnastics, and track and field. She later became a competitive fitness athlete, winning two competitions — including a national title that led to a sponsorship as a spokesperson for a nutrition brand.

Music has always been part of her life too — she plays clarinet, drums, and guitar, sings, and once performed with an orchestra at one of Toronto’s top concert venues. That musical foundation shows up directly in her voice work: an ear for pitch, tone, and rhythm that translates into more dynamic, controlled performances.

She’s also a longtime traveler, having visited 37 countries — an experience that’s sharpened her ear for accents and intonation, and given her range to shift between characters and dialects on the fly.

Before voiceover, Leah spent years working in the corporate world across government, IT, and health sectors — experience that gave her a genuine understanding of what corporate clients need from a narration or e-learning voice, long before she was hired to deliver it.

Her jump into voiceover started almost by accident: a friend’s message about recording from home led to months of research, a trip to buy studio equipment, and — one week after signing up with a casting site — her first booked gig, a corporate explainer for Air Wick. A year and a half later, during the early days of Covid, she left her stable job to pursue voiceover full-time. She hasn’t looked back since.

Leah maintains a roster of clients who return project after project — because consistency, range, and a genuine understanding of what a project needs matter more than just “a nice voice.”
